Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Software Engineer for the CDP Payment Acceptance team. You will build a stablecoin payment rail powering merchant checkout, subscriptions, and onchain settlement across Go backend and React/Next.js frontend.

You will own end-to-end delivery, refine the checkout experience for conversion and performance, and implement durable workflows using Temporal with PostgreSQL, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate Payment Acceptance into Coinbase’s developer

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional full-stack software engineering shipping production systems in Go and TypeScript/React
• Demonstrated experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) including schema design, migrations, and performance
• Proven track record designing APIs (protobuf/gRPC, REST, OpenAPI) and instrumenting production systems with observability tools
• Experience building durable workflow systems (Temporal, Cadence, or Step Functions) or working with onchain payments
• Clear design docs, PR descriptions, and runbooks enabling cross-team collaboration and operational maturity
• Demonstrates responsible use of generative AI tools in daily workflows with human-in-the-loop practices

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end feature delivery across Go backend and the React/Next.js merchant-facing checkout, including APIs, protobufs, migrations, and TS client integration
• Refine buyer checkout UI (payment links, embeddable components, WalletConnect flows) with focus on conversion, accessibility, and performance
• Implement durable payment workflows using Temporal for onchain settlement, refunds, and PostgreSQL reconciliation
• Instrument changes with logs, metrics, and Datadog traces; own on-call rotation for your services
• Partner with Product/Design/Engineering teams to integrate Payment Acceptance into Coinbase developer platform
