Job summary

Coinbase is hiring a Software Engineer on the CDP Payment Acceptance team to build a stablecoin payment rail for merchants. You will work across Go backend services and a React/Next.js UI, delivering end-to-end checkout features and onchain settlement workflows.

You will partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to scale the payment experience, ensure reliability, and ship under high-performance, remote-first conditions with quarterly in-person surges.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience shipping production systems in Go and TypeScript/React.
• Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) including schema design and migrations.
• Proven API design experience (protobuf/gRPC, REST, OpenAPI) and observability tooling.
• Experience building durable workflow systems (Temporal) or with EVM blockchains and onchain payment patterns.
• Strong communication skills and ability to document design decisions and runbooks.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end feature delivery across Go backend services and the React/Next.js merchant-facing checkout experience.
• Build and refine the buyer checkout UI with a focus on conversion and performance.
• Implement durable payment workflows using Temporal for onchain settlement and reconciliation.
• Instrument changes with logs, metrics, and traces; participate in on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to integrate Payment Acceptance into Coinbase platform.
