Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Software Engineer to join the CDP Payment Acceptance team. You will help build the stablecoin payment rail powering merchant checkout, subscriptions, and onchain settlement for businesses of all sizes.

This role involves shipping full-stack features across Go backend and React/Next.js frontend, with on-call rotation and cross-team collaboration. The role emphasizes durable workflows with Temporal, strong observability, and responsible AI usage to improve efficiency, cost,

Qualifications

3+ years shipping production Go and TS/React systems.
Relational databases experience (PostgreSQL preferred) including schemas & migrations.
Proven API design experience (protobuf/gRPC, REST, OpenAPI) and observability tooling.
Experience with durable workflows (Temporal) or similar, or onchain/payment patterns.
Strong written communication and cross-team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end feature delivery across Go backend and React/Next.js frontend.
Build buyer checkout UI components and wallet connection flows with a focus on conversion and accessibility.
Implement durable payment workflows using Temporal for onchain settlement and reconciliation.
Instrument changes with logs, metrics, and traces; participate in on-call rotation.
Collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering teams to integrate Payment Acceptance into Coinbase developer platform.
