Job summary

Coinbase is hiring a Software Engineer for the CDP Payment Acceptance team. You will ship end-to-end features on Go backend services and a React/Next.js checkout experience, integrating payment acceptance into the Coinbase developer platform.

You will own gRPC/HTTP APIs, protobufs, and database migrations, while building durable workflows with Temporal and ensuring observability with Datadog/OpenTelemetry. This is a hybrid, remote-first role with quarterly in-person surges.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional full-stack software engineering shipping production systems in Go and TypeScript/React
• Relational databases with PostgreSQL: schema design, migrations, performance
• APIs design (protobuf/gRPC, REST, OpenAPI) and observability tooling like Datadog/OpenTelemetry
• Experience building durable workflow systems (Temporal, Cadence) or with onchain payment patterns
• Clear design docs, PR descriptions, and runbooks for cross-team collaboration
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight in daily workflows

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end feature delivery across Go backend services and React/Next.js checkout experience
• Build and refine the buyer checkout UI with focus on conversion and performance
• Implement durable payment workflows using Temporal for onchain settlement and refunds
• Instrument changes with logs, metrics, and traces; participate in on-call rotation
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering teams to integrate Payment Acceptance
