Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Software Engineer for the CDP Payment Acceptance team. You will own end-to-end delivery across Go backend and React/Next.js frontend, building the stablecoin payment rail powering merchant checkout and onchain settlement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience shipping production systems in Go and TypeScript/React
• Relational databases knowledge (PostgreSQL preferred) including schema design and migrations
• Experience designing APIs (protobuf/gRPC, REST, OpenAPI) and observability (Datadog/OpenTelemetry)
• Experience with durable workflow systems (Temporal) or EVM blockchains and onchain payment patterns
• Strong documentation skills: design docs, PR descriptions, runbooks for cross-team collaboration
• Ability to use generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflows and quality

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end feature delivery across Go backend and React/Next.js frontend, including APIs and data migrations
• Build buyer checkout UI with emphasis on conversion, accessibility, and performance
• Implement durable payment workflows using Temporal for onchain settlement and reconciliation
• Instrument changes with logs, metrics, and traces; participate in on-call rotation
• Partner with Product, Design, and Eng teams to integrate Payment Acceptance into Coinbase platform
