Job summary

Coinbase is hiring a Software Engineer for the CDP Payment Acceptance team. You will own end-to-end feature delivery across Go backend services and the React/Next.js checkout experience, including APIs, protobuf definitions, migrations, and client integrations.

You will build durable payment workflows with Temporal for onchain settlement and refunds, while instrumenting with Datadog and OpenTelemetry. You will collaborate with Product, Design, and other engineering teams to integrate Payment

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-stack software engineering shipping production systems in Go and TypeScript/React.
• Experience with relational databases, schema design, migrations, and performance.
• Designing APIs (protobuf/gRPC, REST, OpenAPI) and instrumenting systems for observability.
• Experience with durable workflows (Temporal, Cadence, or Step Functions) or with onchain patterns.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end feature delivery across Go backend services and React/Next.js checkout UI, including APIs, migrations, and client integrations.
• Build and refine buyer checkout UI with a focus on conversion, accessibility, and performance.
• Implement durable payment workflows using Temporal for onchain settlement, refunds, and reconciliation.
• Instrument changes with logs, metrics, and traces; participate in on-call rotation.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering teams to integrate Payment Acceptance into the Coinbase developer platform.
