Job summary

enGen is seeking an experienced software engineer to join an agile team responsible for building scalable, enterprise-grade applications across digital channels. You will contribute to architectural design and technical execution, from idea generation to production deployment.

The role requires strong programming skills, experience with REST/JSON, web services, and Cognos BI tooling, and a proactive mentoring mindset. Travel is modest and the team collaborates closely with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• 3 years of proficiency in design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
• 3 years of experience in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, ACE, IIB/ITX, Informatica preferred) and experience with React, Angular, NodeJS, NoSQL, HTML5, CSS, GCP or AWS.
• 3 years of understanding of web services technologies such as REST, HTTPS, JSON.

Responsibilities

• Design and create engineering specifications for software applications and programs.
• Write code adhering to coding standards and perform code reviews.
• Explore and implement technical solutions to achieve required product features while ensuring scalability and performance.
• Participate in all scrum ceremonies and assist in sprint planning.
• Drive story creation with DoD, Acceptance Criteria and estimation; manage tasks in RTC or Jira.
• Monitor progress against production schedule and report issues to lead developers.
• Mentor other associate software engineers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
