Job summary

enGen is seeking a software engineer to join an agile team focused on scalable digital applications across channels. Responsibilities include architectural oversight, developing enterprise-grade software, and selecting technologies that best meet platform needs.

The role involves design and coding, participating in scrum ceremonies, and collaborating across business analysis, design, and development to deliver robust products with strong performance and maintainability.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field.
1 year proficiency in design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns in the building and deploying of scalable; highly available systems
Experience with at least two of: React, Angular, NodeJS, NoSQL databases, HTML5, CSS, Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services
Understanding of REST, HTTPS, JSON

Responsibilities

Design and create engineering specifications for software applications and programs. Write code adhering to coding standards. Perform code reviews.
Idea generation, exploring and suggesting technical solutions to achieve required product features, monitor technical process against project plan while safeguarding functionality, scalability and performance.
Participate in all scrum ceremonies, assist in sprint planning and complete required sprints in development through final execution of software applications/programs. Communicate blockers to Scrum Master.
Create tasks for stories in RTC or Jira, update status and assignment
Monitor work against production schedule and report issues to senior developers/principals
