Job summary

enGen is seeking an experienced software engineer to join an agile team responsible for building scalable, enterprise-grade applications across digital channels. You will contribute to architectural decisions, design patterns, and end-to-end software delivery using modern technologies.

The role requires collaboration in Scrum ceremonies, specification creation, coding to standards, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field.
• Experience with Ruby, Java, or similar languages and web services (REST/HTTPS/JSON).
• Experience in IBM Cognos development and large-scale BI/Reporting projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and create engineering specifications for software applications and programs.
• Write code adhering to standards and perform code reviews.
• Assist in sprint planning and participate in all scrum ceremonies.
• Create and manage tasks for stories and track progress in RTC/Jira.
• Monitor progress against schedules and report issues to lead developers.
• Mentor junior engineers as needed.
