Job summary
Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Software Engineer (26-420) to design, develop, and maintain Java/J2EE software for the C2BMC Regional Applications team. You will work in an Agile environment to deliver features and resolve complex issues that support missile defense missions.
The role requires a current Secret security clearance, on-site work with no remote option, and strong experience in OO languages, CI/CD, and software lifecycle practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE/Math/Physics or related field.
- Master’s degree with 1 year relevant experience as alternative.
- Current Secret security clearance at time of application.
- Experience in Java/J2EE or OO languages; knowledge of C++ is a plus.
- Knowledge of modern software practices: coding standards, automated testing, CI/CD, version control.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java/J2EE software for Regional Applications.
- Work within an Agile team to implement features and resolve issues.
- Translate requirements and SysML diagrams into software components.
- Participate in full software lifecycle: analysis, design, implementation, integration, test, deployment.
- Maintain technical documentation and support fielded mission capabilities.
- Collaborate with systems engineering, integration, and operations groups.
