Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP seeks a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain the web applications and data systems powering our information experiences.

This role leads architecture decisions, ensures reliability and security, and collaborates with Information Engineers, designers, and data scientists to deliver engaging data stories, visualizations, and AI-enabled interfaces. Remote or hybrid in ET time zones; Mountain Time candidates considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in application engineering or related tech role.
• Full web stack proficiency; backend data APIs and infrastructure focus.
• Experience architecting data-intensive web apps for scalability and performance.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript; familiarity with React or Vue.
• Experience integrating generative AI into production apps with LLMs.
• Cloud data platform integration and Azure CI/CD familiarity.
• Knowledge of security, patterns, and enterprise-grade practices.
• Interest in XR, AI-assisted interfaces, or related emerging tech.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain web app infrastructure and data systems.
• Define and enforce technical standards and deployment practices.
• Collaborate with Information Engineers, designers, and data scientists.
• Write production-quality code across full stack, esp. back-end services.
• Lead evaluation and deployment of generative AI capabilities.
• Prototype architectures for XR and AI-driven interfaces.
• Ensure reliability, security, accessibility, and scalability.
• Evaluate new technologies to advance capabilities.
• Document standards and best practices for ID&E engineering.
• Collaborate on UI component quality and design systems.
• Engage in continuous learning aligned with R&D agenda.
