Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain web applications and data systems supporting ID&E objectives. You will shape architecture, uphold standards, and collaborate across engineering, design, and data science to deliver engaging data stories and interfaces that meet enterprise needs.

The role involves prototyping XR and AI-assisted interfaces, ensuring security and scalability, and driving adoption of emerging technologies within a production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical knowledge.
• 5+ years of experience in application engineering or related technical roles.
• Proficiency across the full web stack with back-end and front-end skills.
• Experience designing and owning web app architecture for data-intensive apps.
• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript and familiarity with React or Vue.
• Experience integrating generative AI capabilities and working with LLM APIs.
• Knowledge of cloud data platforms and Azure, and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain web application infrastructure and data systems.
• Own application-layer standards, deployment practices, and performance benchmarks.
• Collaborate with information engineers, designers, and data scientists.
• Write production-quality code across the full stack.
• Lead evaluation and deployment of generative AI capabilities.
• Prototype architectures for XR and AI-assisted interfaces.
• Ensure reliability, security, accessibility, and scalability.
• Research new technologies and establish standards.
• Partner with front-end on design system and UI components.
• Participate in continuous learning and development.
