Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain web applications and data systems powering information experiences. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in application engineering, strong backend in Python/JavaScript/TypeScript, and experience with cloud platforms (Azure).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in application engineering, software development, or a closely related technical role
• Proficiency across the full web stack with backend focus and frontend collaboration
• Experience designing and owning web app architecture for data-intensive apps, ensuring scalability and performance

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain web application infrastructure and data systems for interactive experiences
• Own application-layer standards, code quality, deployment practices, and performance benchmarks
• Collaborate with Information Engineers, designers, and data scientists on data stories and UI quality
• Lead evaluation and deployment of generative AI capabilities within web apps and information systems
• Prototype architectures for XR and AI-assisted interfaces and ensure security and reliability
