Job summary

Bcbsks in the United States seeks a Software Asset Manager to oversee lifecycle, governance, compliance, and optimization of software assets. You will manage licensing, usage, contracts, renewals, and optimization while partnering with IT, Procurement, Finance, Security, Legal, and business stakeholders.

This role requires cross-functional collaboration and adherence to the Telecommuting Policy for hybrid or onsite work.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of IT and/or application development experience.
• Experience with Software Asset Management (SAM) systems.
• Experience with ServiceNow and SAM Pro.
• Active ITAM Certification or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire.
• Ability to follow Project Management practices for changes and projects.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain servers, networks, and IT systems for optimal performance.
• Install, configure, and update software and hardware components.
• Monitor system performance, conduct audits, and perform routine maintenance.
• Ensure system security with firewalls, antivirus, backups, and access controls.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
• Perform system backups and disaster recovery procedures.
• Manage user accounts and permissions with proper access controls.
• Collaborate with IT teams to plan software and system upgrades.
• Document configurations, troubleshooting steps, and procedures.
• Assist with network management and maintain connectivity.
• Respond to alerts and perform root-cause analysis.
• Manage cloud-based infrastructure and on-premises integration.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
• Be reachable during non-working hours for upgrades and outages.
