Job summary

SouthState Bank is seeking a Software Asset Manager to own and mature the enterprise software asset management program across the organization. You will maintain accurate software inventory, entitlements, contracts, and usage data while driving license compliance, optimization, and cost reductions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
• 6+ years of experience with software asset management and license compliance
• ServiceNow experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and leadership to the technology operations team that handles the software asset management life cycle.
• Oversee and perform software audits on a regular basis, identifying records with incorrect or outdated information, and coordinating with owners and support teams to remediate data inaccuracies.
• Coordinate and govern software requests, approvals, acquisitions, deployments, updates, renewals, and retirements across the organization to promote policy compliance, accurate records, and consistent lifecycle controls.
• Develop, monitor, and report software asset management metrics and key risk indicators related to license compliance, software utilization, cost optimization, data quality, audit findings, and lifecycle performance.
• Partner with procurement, legal, finance, vendor management, and software owners to support contract negotiations, renewals, audits, software publisher reviews, and purchasing decisions using accurate entitlement, usage, and cost data.
