Job summary

Middlebury College Ski Areas is hiring for a part-time, hourly position focused on operating snow making equipment during the ski season. The job may involve supporting base lodge operations and other ski area duties as assigned.

starting wage is $21.05 per hour with increases for returning seasons, and some hours qualify for night/weekend shift differentials. Responsibilities include snow making, general ski area tasks, safety reporting, and occasional tasks across Snow Bowl and Rikert as

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• No specific experience required
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends
• Basic computer skills beneficial
• Basic First Aid beneficial

Responsibilities

• Operate snow making equipment during the ski season.
• May perform base lodge operations, lift operations, snow removal, event setup and cleanup, truck loading/unloading, and trash/debris removal as requested.
• Report safety hazards or violations to supervisor and follow established procedures.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support department mission.
• Provide race and event support as needed.
• Assist with trail maintenance, snow shoveling, firewood collection and parking lot duties.
• Assist with search and rescue within ski area boundaries.
