Job summary

Middlebury College is seeking a part-time, hourly Ski Area Assistant to support snow making, base lodge tasks, and general operations at the Snow Bowl and Rikert. Duties include safety, event support, and outdoor work in winter conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No specific experience required.
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills beneficial.
• Basic First Aid is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Operate snow making equipment during the ski season.
• Support base lodge operations, lift operations, snow removal, event setup/cleanup, truck loading and unloading, and trash/debris removal.
• Reports safety hazards or violations to supervisor.
• Communicates effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
• Performs trail maintenance and snow shoveling in designated areas.
• Assist with search and rescue within ski area boundaries.
• Provide race and event support.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.
