Job summary

Middlebury College Ski Areas in Vermont are seeking a part-time, hourly staff member to support mountain operations including base lodge, lift operations, snow removal, event setup, and general site maintenance. The starting wage is $18.90 per hour with increases for returning ski seasons; some hours may be eligible for night and weekend shift differentials.

High school diploma preferred; no specific experience required; outdoor winter work and ability to lift, shovel, and perform manual tasks

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No specific experience required.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
• Basic First Aid is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Performs ski area operations support including base lodge operations, lift operations, snow removal, event setup/cleanup, truck loading/unloading, and trash/debris removal.
• Follows established procedures, practices, and policies.
• Reports safety hazards or violations to supervisor.
• Communicates effectively with diverse individuals.
• Provides race and event support.
• Performs trail maintenance, snow shoveling, firewood collection, parking lot duties.
• Assists with search and rescue within ski area boundaries.
