Job summary

Middlebury College Ski Areas is seeking a part-time, hourly employee to support base lodge operations, lift operations, snow removal, event setup and cleanup, and related duties in winter conditions.

Starting wage is $18.90 per hour with increases for returning ski seasons; some hours may qualify for night and weekend shift differentials. Must be willing to work evenings and weekends; basic computer skills and First Aid are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No specific experience required.
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills beneficial.
• Basic First Aid is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Supports base lodge operations, lift operations, snow removal, event setup and cleanup, truck loading/unloading, and trash/debris removal.
• Performs work assignments according to established procedures, practices, and policies.
• Reports safety hazards or violations to supervisor.
• Communicates effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Performs other duties to assist the department in its mission.
• Provides race and event support.
• Performs trail maintenance, snow shoveling, firewood collection, parking lot duties.
• Assists with search and rescue within ski area boundaries.
• Potential overnight shift work.
