Job summary

Employnet, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented SMT Operator to join our Reno manufacturing team. The role operates, monitors, and maintains SMT equipment to assemble PCBs, following IPC standards and production docs.

The ideal candidate will have electronics manufacturing experience and a strong commitment to quality, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. First and second shifts are available with competitive hourly wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in SMT/electronics manufacturing preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, assembly drawings, and production documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic computer skills and experience with production tracking systems.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate SMT production equipment including screen printers, pick-and-place, and reflow ovens.
• Set up machines according to schedules and work instructions.
• Load, replenish, and verify components and materials.
• Perform visual inspections and quality checks on PCBs and assemblies.
• Monitor machine performance; adjust for efficiency and quality.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues; escalate when needed.
• Complete production reports and document manufacturing activities.
• Follow IPC standards, procedures, and customer specifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and assist in maintenance.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve issues.
