Job summary

Electronic Systems Inc. (ESI) is seeking an SMT Operator for a full-time night shift in Sioux Falls. You will assemble low-volume and prototype PCBs from prints, insert components by hand, and help ensure high quality and accuracy on every unit.

We value careful, detail‑oriented workers with 3+ years in production or assembly who read instructions in English and collaborate well with teammates. We offer paid time off, health benefits, and a path toward leadership roles.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct production or assembly experience.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to read and understand verbal or written English instructions.
• Self-starter who collaborates effectively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Work directly from prints or assembly instructions to assemble low-volume and prototype projects.
• Insert electronic components by hand into printed circuit boards.
• Responsible for the accuracy of component placement and assembly of final product.
• Work with other assemblers to teach assembly and soldering techniques that will ensure quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with teammates to share assembly and soldering techniques that support quality and efficiency.
• Communicate job status to team leaders
• Perform testing, packing, and related tasks requiring attention to detail and teamwork.
• Participate in continuous improvement and occasional overtime as needed
