Job summary

Volt is seeking an SMT Operator to assemble, test, and wire electromechanical devices in a fast-paced electronics environment. You will read blueprints and schematics, use hand and power tools, and perform quality checks to ensure devices meet specs.

The role requires attention to detail, soldering and crimping experience, and familiarity with lean manufacturing. Shifts are available on 1st and 2nd run, with full-time, temporary-to-hire opportunities in Milpitas, CA.

Qualifications

• Experience as an assembler or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
• Some experience with soldering and crimping.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Basic computer skills for documentation.
• Excellent hand dexterity.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Comfortable working with small and delicate materials.
• Ability to follow written instructions provided by the manufacturer to build the final product.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire, and test electromechanical devices according to specifications.
• Interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Operate hand tools and power tools to assemble components.
• Conduct quality checks and troubleshoot any issues in assembled products.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve assembly processes.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Document assembly processes and report any discrepancies.
