Job summary

NEOTech in Colorado is seeking a detail-oriented SMT technician to set up and operate SMT equipment, ensure correct part numbers, and follow process sheets for high-quality PCB assembly. You will handle ESD/MSD requirements, perform program initialization for printers, pick-and-place machines, and reflow ovens, and maintain ISO-compliant documentation.

The role requires 2+ years of electronics experience, strong problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years' electronic manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read process sheets and verify part numbers for each job.
• Pass IPC-DVE-64C Component Identification and IPC-A-610 modules 1, 2, 4, 7 & 8.

Responsibilities

• Set up SMT line equipment including screen printer, pick-and-place machines, stencils and reflow oven.
• Load feeders and verify correct parts using the load list and process sheets.
• Initiate and select correct programs for SMT equipment and reflow profiles.
• Maintain compliance with ESD, MSD handling, IPC-A-610, ISO procedures and policies.
• Perform preventative maintenance on SMT equipment and clean boards as required.
• Support 6S and other quality management systems and safety rules.
