Job summary

Electronic Systems Sioux Falls is seeking an SMT Operator for a full-time, second-shift role (Mon–Thu 3:15pm–2:30am, Fri 3:15pm–9:15pm; no weekends) in Sioux Falls, SD. You will build low-volume and prototype boards, insert components by hand, and ensure precise placement and quality.

Candidates need 3+ years in production/assembly, strong manual dexterity, and the ability to read English instructions. Expect PPE, safety compliance, and potential overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of manufacturing or assembly experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to read and understand verbal or written English instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble low-volume and prototype projects from prints or assembly instructions.
• Insert electronic components by hand into printed circuit boards.
• Ensure accuracy of component placement and final assembly.
• Share soldering techniques with teammates to maintain quality.
• Collaborate with teammates to improve efficiency and quality.
• Communicate job status to team leaders.
• Perform testing, packing, and related tasks; participate in overtime as needed.
