Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a Pit Master for our Smokehouse department in Wendell, NC. You will lead smokehouse operations, engage guests with samples and maintain high sanitation and product standards.

The role requires meat cutting experience, strong guest service and the ability to work in front of crowds. Training and supervision of staff are core responsibilities, with duties including product prep and stocking.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.
• Previous meat cutting/trimming experience.
• Previous Culinary knowledge and/or background preferred.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.

Responsibilities

• Act as Pit Master and lead Smokehouse operations.
• Interact with guests to create a fun, engaging environment.
• Maintain standards for sanitation, safety and product quality.
• Provide guidance, orientation and training to Smokehouse staff.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, stocking and guest service as needed.
• Perform PA announcements and support management as required.
