Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a friendly, energetic Smokehouse team member in Pittsboro, NC. You will engage guests with samples, tell stories, and perform as a Pit Master while ensuring high standards of merchandising, sanitation and customer service.

Responsibilities include product prep, receiving, stocking, and occasional light meat cutting. Must be able to perform multiple tasks and lift up to 50 lbs. A culinary background is preferred and guest interaction is key to success.

Responsibilities

• Provides fun, friendly and engaging service.
• Engage guests through Smokehouse samples and story-selling.
• Perform Pit Master character performance as described.
• Operate department to meet merchandising and operational standards.
• Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety per standards.
• Perform product prep, receiving, stocking and guest service as needed.
• Maintain HACCP product information logs.
• Perform light meat cutting duties as needed.
• Handle PA announcements and other duties as assigned.
