Job summary

NRG Energy’s Vivint Smart Home division seeks a Field Service Professional to install, service and support smart home technology nationwide. You’ll build trusted customer relationships while delivering top-notch service, with uncapped commission and ongoing training. The role emphasizes safety, independence and collaboration with a support team.

The position offers a four-day, 10-hour schedule and company-provided resources to enable efficient field work across various homes and locations.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background investigation and pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to pass licensing requirements where required by law.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to act with integrity and build rapport with diverse customers.
• Willingness to learn and use technology.

Responsibilities

• Install and service smart home security, thermostat and automation systems, including cameras and smart locks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Educate customers on product features and functionality.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience at every appointment.
• Conduct onsite evaluations to recommend and sell equipment upgrades or service enhancements.
• Maintain quality, safety and installation standards.
• Manage daily appointments, work orders and equipment.
• Identify service recommendations and referral opportunities.
