Job summary

NRG Energy's Vivint Smart Home division is seeking a Field Service Professional to install, service and support smart home technology in customers' homes across the country. You will build trusted relationships, diagnose issues, perform installations and deliver exceptional service.

This role offers a four-day, 10-hour schedule with paid drive time, licensing support, training, benefits and a company-paid incentive program.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background investigation and pre-employment drug test.
• Ability to pass licensing requirements under applicable law.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to act with integrity while building rapport with diverse customers.
• Willingness to learn and use technology.

Responsibilities

• Install and service smart home security, thermostat and automation systems, including cameras and smart locks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Educate customers on product features and functionality.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience at every appointment.
• Conduct onsite evaluations to recommend and sell equipment upgrades or service enhancements.
• Maintain quality, safety and installation standards.
• Manage daily appointments, work orders and equipment.
• Identify service recommendations and referral opportunities when appropriate.
