Job summary

NRG Energy, through Vivint Smart Home, seeks a Field Service Professional to install, service and support leading smart home technology nationwide. You will build trusted customer relationships while diagnosing issues, performing installations and delivering solutions that enhance safety and convenience in homes.

The role offers a four-day, 10-hour schedule with Saturdays, a take-home vehicle and tools provided, plus licensing and ongoing coaching.

Qualifications

• Requires valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background investigation and pre-employment drug test.
• Ability to meet licensing requirements under applicable law.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to act with integrity while building rapport with diverse customers.
• Willingness to learn and use technology.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Install and service smart home security, thermostat and automation systems, including cameras and smart locks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Educate customers on product features and functionality.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience at every appointment.
• Conduct onsite evaluations to recommend and sell upgrades or service enhancements.
• Maintain quality, safety and installation standards.
• Manage daily appointments, work orders and equipment.
• Identify service recommendations and referral opportunities when appropriate.
