Job summary

Siemens Smart Building Internship Program in Plymouth, MI seeks Smart Building Systems Specialist Interns. You will spend most time on job sites with experienced technicians, learning installation, programming, and service of HVAC automation and building systems.

You will also gain exposure to sales and project delivery, collaborate with engineering teams, and document activities for smooth hand-offs. The program requires enrollment in a related technical program and 40-hour weeks for 10 weeks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a 2-year technical program in HVAC/Building Automation or related field.
• Ability to commit to 40 hours per week for 10 weeks (May–July or June–August).
• Willingness to work onsite at Plymouth, MI; no housing stipend provided.

Responsibilities

• Spend 80% on job sites with Siemens technicians installing, programming, and servicing HVAC automation systems.
• Gain exposure to sales through time with the sales team to understand customer solutions.
• Rotate through service and project delivery teams to support installations and long-term maintenance.
• Assist in diagnosing issues, performing basic maintenance, and supporting new installations and commissioning.
