Job summary

Siemens Smart Building Internship Program seeks interns to learn hands-on HVAC automation, installation, programming and service in commercial buildings. Opportunities to work from Des Moines, IA area or Kansas City, Omaha locations, with May–June start dates.

Interns will spend most time on job sites with experienced technicians, gain sales exposure, and rotate through project and service operations to understand end-to-end delivery.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Enrolled in or recently completed a 2-year technical program in HVAC, building automation or related field.
• Willing to work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks (May-July or June-August).
• Must be able to work onsite in the surrounding local area.

Responsibilities

• Spend 80% on field technician activities on job sites with Siemens technicians.
• 10% exposure to sales, engaging with customers and learning solution design.
• 10% rotation through project and service operations for deployment and maintenance.
