Job summary

Siemens is offering the Smart Building Internship Program in the Miami, FL area. You will spend 80% on field technician work, 10% on sales exposure, and 10% on project and service operations, learning HVAC automation and building systems through hands-on training.

The internship runs for 10 weeks (May-July or June-Aug) with start dates May 17th, May 24th, June 7th, and June 14th, and pays $22–$24 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Enrollment in or recent completion of a 2-year technical college program in HVAC/Building Automation or related field.
• Available for 40 hours per week for 10 weeks (May–July or June–August).
• Willing to work onsite in the Miami, FL area; no relocation or housing stipend.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship; visa support not offered.

Responsibilities

• Spend ~80% of time on field technician tasks, installing, programming and servicing HVAC automation in commercial buildings.
• ~10% exposure to sales activities, learning how building solutions are designed and presented to customers.
• ~10% involvement in project and service operations across delivery teams.
• Assist in diagnosing issues, performing maintenance and repairs, and supporting new installations and system commissioning.
• Collaborate with engineering and project management to resolve discrepancies in drawings and address challenges.
