Job summary

Siemens in Omaha/Des Moines area offers a Smart Building Systems Specialist Intern program. You will be on job sites learning installation, programming, and service of HVAC building automation in commercial facilities.

The internship runs 10 weeks with start dates May 17, May 24, June 7, and June 14; you will rotate through field, sales exposure, and project operations while developing hands-on skills and customer-facing communication.

Qualifications

Enrollment status confirmation required for application.
40 hours per week for the 10-week program (May–July or June–August).
Onsite work in the Des Moines/Kansas City/Omaha area; no housing stipend.

Responsibilities

Spend most time on job sites with experienced Siemens technicians, learning installation, programming, and service of HVAC automation in commercial buildings.
Gain exposure to sales by spending time with the sales team and understanding customer engagement.
Rotate through service and project operations to support installation, maintenance, and upgrades.
Visit customer sites with technicians to troubleshoot systems and assist with new installations and commissioning.
Collaborate with engineering and project management to resolve drawing discrepancies.
Document service activities and provide basic training to customers or team members.
