Job summary

Siemens Smart Building Internship Program is based in the Raleigh, NC area. Interns will work on HVAC automation and building systems, with rotations across field tech activities, sales exposure, and project operations to deliver comprehensive hands-on experience.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in HVAC/building automation or related programs, can work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks, and must be onsite. Strong communication and MS Office skills are valued to support customers and teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Students enrolled in or recently completed a 2-year technical program in HVAC, Building Automation, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Spend most time on job sites with Siemens technicians learning installation, programming, and service of HVAC automation in buildings.
• Gain exposure to sales by shadowing the sales team and understanding customer engagement and solution design.
• Rotate through service and project delivery teams to support installation, maintenance, and upgrades.
• Assist in diagnosing issues, performing maintenance, or supporting new installations and commissioning.
• Collaborate with engineering and project management to resolve drawing discrepancies and address challenges.
• Document service activities and communicate system operations to customers and team members.
