Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Detroit and Plymouth, MI offers a Smart Building Systems Specialist Internship. You will spend time on field sites learning how we install, program, and service advanced HVAC automation and building systems in commercial environments.

The program provides hands-on experience, shadowing, troubleshooting, and classroom instruction, with exposure to engineering and project management teams to enhance your skills. Expect a 10-week program with start dates in May and June.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pursuing or recently completed a 2-year technical program in HVAC controls/building automation or related field.
• Comfort with on-site work and hands-on tasks.

Responsibilities

• Spend substantial time on job sites with technicians learning installation, programming, and service of HVAC/building automation systems.
• Assist in diagnosing issues and performing preventive maintenance on building systems.
• Support project delivery and service operations from installation to upgrades.
• Document activities and communicate clearly with customers and team members.
