Job summary

Siemens invites students to join its Smart Building Internship Program in the Miami, FL region to gain hands-on experience with HVAC controls and building automation. This paid internship focuses on field technician activities, sales exposure, and project/ service operations through structured rotations.

Interns will work on-site for ten weeks, with start dates in May or June, learning from experienced engineers and technicians while contributing to real-world building solutions and client

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a 2-year technical program in HVAC/building automation or related field.
• Willing to work 40 hours per week for ten weeks (May–July or June–August).
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Physically able to access rooftops, mechanical spaces, and properties on-site.

Responsibilities

• Spend most time on job sites learning HVAC automation installation and servicing.
• Shadow experienced technicians, troubleshoot, and assist with on-site tasks.
• Rotate through service operations, project delivery, and customer interactions.
• Document activities, explain system operations to customers, and support hand-offs.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve drawing discrepancies and address issues.
