Job summary

Siemens is offering a Smart Building Internship in the Houston, TX area for students pursuing HVAC Controls, Building Automation, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. The program provides hands-on field experience, on-site training, and exposure to sales and project services while you rotate through service delivery teams.

You will shadow technicians on job sites, assist with installations and system commissioning, document activities, and learn to communicate with customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a 2-year technical program in HVAC Controls, Building Automation, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Energy/Sustainability and Built Environment, or related program.

Responsibilities

• 80% Field Technician Experience: on-site installation, programming, and service of HVAC automation in commercial buildings.
• 10% Sales Exposure: observe customer engagement and design solutions to improve building performance and safety.
• 10% Project & Service Operations: rotate with service and project delivery teams to support installation, maintenance, and upgrades.

Education
