Job summary

Siemens Smart Building Internship Program in Canton, MA offers hands-on experience in HVAC controls, building automation, and system commissioning. Interns rotate through field technician work, sales exposure, and project operations to understand installation and maintenance processes.

You'll work on real customer sites, troubleshoot building systems, and collaborate with engineering and project teams to resolve issues and enhance performance. This 10-week program runs May–July or June–August.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Pursuing or completed 2-year technical degree in HVAC/building automation or related field.
• Willingness to work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks (May–July or June–August).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Spend majority of time on job sites learning HVAC automation and building systems installation, programming and service.
• Shadow experienced technicians, perform troubleshooting and on‑job training.
• Collaborate with sales and project teams to understand and meet customer needs.
• Assist in diagnosing issues, performing maintenance, and commissioning new installations.
• Document service activities and communicate system operations to customers.
