H&R Block, Inc. is seeking an Account Manager to build long-term relationships with small business clients, oversee bookkeeping and payroll, and guide client transitions and onboarding. You’ll act as the business partner and accounting department for these clients, helping them succeed as trusted advisors.

You will league with fulfillment teams, answer client queries, identify new opportunities, and serve as the liaison between clients and internal teams to deliver results and ensure retention.

Qualifications

• 2+ years account management experience.
• Basic understanding of GAAP and payroll theory.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (QBO, Xero, Sage).

Responsabilités

• Serve as the lead point of contact for all assigned bookkeeping and payroll clients.
• Oversee entire client acquisition process from referral to onboarding to ensure a great client experience.
• Conduct outreach and follow up with client referrals to maximize conversion to service.
• Negotiate contracts and close agreements to meet client needs and growth targets.
• Assist with client onboarding onto platforms and virtual tools.
• Develop and maintain trusting and long-lasting advisor relationships with clients.
• Communicate bookkeeping and/or payroll results with tax professionals who prepare the small business tax returns.
• Proactively leverage available resources and ask for help when needed.
• Maintain a sizable book of business with strong client retention and revenue per client.
