Job summary

Amcor is hiring a Slitter Operator to support the slitting department. The role involves loading, setting up, and operating slitting machines, recording data, and ensuring product quality to meet customer specs.

Responsibilities include maintaining documentation, coordinating with management and maintenance, and adhering to safety and environmental guidelines as part of a high-efficiency production team.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years slitting experience preferred.
• General knowledge of computers preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate slitting equipment to meet quality and productivity targets.
• Maintain accurate documentation for production runs.
• Ensure material meets customer requirements throughout the run.
• Record and report production data and testing results.
• Communicate daily with supervisors and maintenance.
• Maintain housekeeping standards around the slitter area.
• Perform packing and material handling as required.
• Follow safety rules and CI improvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Strong mechanical ability

Rulers/gauges/calipers use

Math skills (high school level)

Forklift certification or ready to get

Visual acuity for imperfections

Safety awareness around moving gear

Operate tools and test equipment

Effective communication

English reporting ability

Cartons handling up to 50 lbs
