Job summary

Shurtape Technologies, LLC seeks a Slitter Operator to set up and operate manual and automatic slitters and packing lines, following safety rules and recording production data. The role emphasizes quality, efficiency, and cost control in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will troubleshoot equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and train new operators while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The job requires physical stamina and teamwork in a high-noise facility with PPE.

Qualifications

• Follow detailed instructions accurately, work independently, and be a team player.
• Excellent manual dexterity and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of production schedules, basic math skills, computer skills, and data entry.
• Ability to make length measurements, read gauges and meters.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the slitter according to established procedures.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Ensure finishing equipment is working, troubleshoot, document, and initiate maintenance.
• Instruct trainees in all phases of slitter operation and record keeping.
• Read gauges/meters and record output results.
