Job summary

Amcor Rigid Packaging in California is seeking a Night Shift Slitter Operator to operate the slitting machine, ensuring dimensions, roll sizes, quantity and print quality meet customer specifications. You will perform rework/rewind of rolls with defects and assist with setup and routine maintenance.

Responsibilities include reviewing job data, setting web guides, cleaning rollers, taking samples for QA, and supporting the lab with labeling and organization as time allows.

Qualifications

• Proficient mathematical and measurement skills.
• Knowledge of metric conversions.
• 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to run multiple job simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience working with production computer software.
• Broad knowledge of product and customer specifications.
• Mechanical knowledge of gauges, scales and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate the slitting machine following customer quality specs.
• Perform rework/rewind of rolls with defects.
• Review job data and blueprints and set up machine per specs.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment.
• Take samples for QA and assist lab labeling as time permits.
