Job summary

Oracle is seeking an experienced Data Platform & OCI Account Executive for the State, Local Government & Education sector in North America. You will drive data modernization, AI adoption, and multi-cloud strategies across a large portfolio, building relationships with CIOs, CTOs, and education leaders while managing the full sales cycle from first meeting to signed contract.

The role requires 4+ years of enterprise tech sales experience selling complex software, cloud, or infrastructure

Qualifications

• 4+ years of enterprise technology sales experience selling complex software, cloud, or infrastructure solutions.
• A passion for hunting, prospecting, and building new business through strategic outreach and relationship development.
• Experience managing the full enterprise sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and close.
• Experience selling cloud infrastructure, platform as a service, databases, data platforms, analytics, AI, or SaaS enterprise applications.
• Experience selling into State & Local Government, Higher Education, K-12, or Public Sector is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop new opportunities across State, Local Government, and Education accounts.
• Prospect into assigned accounts through executive outreach, networking, referrals, partner engagement, and business development.
• Build relationships with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, CISOs, IT leaders, and institutional leadership.
• Position Oracle’s Data Platform and OCI portfolio to solve data, AI, analytics, and cloud challenges.
• Lead discussions on data modernization, AI adoption, cloud migration, and digital transformation.
• Drive sales of Oracle Data Platform, OCI, and multi-cloud solutions.
• Develop territory/account plans to generate pipeline and exceed sales objectives.
• Manage the complete enterprise sales cycle from prospecting to close.
