OneMain Financial Group is seeking a Skip Trace Specialist to locate customers and collateral using investigative techniques while adhering to FDCPA and CFPB regulations. You will manage a repossession queue and oversee the transportation of vehicles for auction, ensuring compliance and timely resolutions.

The role involves skip tracing on delinquent accounts, vendor management, and completing required paperwork. A strong background in tracing systems and a customer-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of skip tracing experience in DRN, RDN, idiCORE or Carfax, etc.
• 1+ years of collections or call center experience.
• Strong understanding of skip tracing and related systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.

As a Skip Trace Specialist, you will locate customers and collateral using various investigative (skip tracing) techniques. All dutiesand tasks must be completed by adhering to FDCPA and CFPB regulations. Manages a repossession queue of approximately 70-100 accounts maintaining charge offs at an acceptable rate as determined by management.

In the Role

• Perform and complete skip tracing activities on all assigned accounts to prevent the charge off and company loan loss. This includes inbound/outbound calls to discuss delinquency resolution.
• Maintain and establish new reposession and transport vendor relationships.
• Manage all accounts that have been assigned to them from the repossession assignment to the transportation of the vehicle to the auction.
• Completes required applicable paperwork including sending all required Federal and State regulation letters.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED required
• At least 1 year of skip tracing experience in DRN, RDN, idiCORE, Carfax, etc.
• 1+ years of collections or call center experience
• Strong understanding of skip tracing and systems
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.

Preferred

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent phone and negotiation skills.
• Collateral lending experience

Location: Onsite in West Valley City, UT

Pay: Hourly + bonus potential

Schedule: Monday through Friday from 9:00am-6:00pm with a rotating Saturday shift every 6 weeks.
