Job summary

Amrize is actively seeking a Milling Machine Operator for our Asphalt division in the United States. You will be responsible for precisely removing pavement to the required depth and grade, preparing a smooth, even surface for repaving.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on milling experience, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work with paving crews and site supervisors. Daily travel is involved and Amrize offers comprehensive benefits and a team‑friendly environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience operating asphalt milling machines in paving.
• Strong understanding of milling techniques and pavement surface requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret project plans, grades and layout specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate milling machines to remove asphalt and concrete to specified depths and grades.
• Monitor machine performance and cutting depth for a smooth milling surface.
• Coordinate with paving crews, trucks and other operators to maintain workflow.
• Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on milling machinery.
