Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Paving Operator in our Asphalt division in the United States. The role involves safely operating paving equipment to place, level, and finish pavement according to project specs. You will monitor mat thickness, asphalt flow, and compaction, and coordinate with the paving crew on highway projects.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Travel: Daily travel required, reliable transportation.
• Proven ability to operate asphalt paving equipment safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of asphalt paving techniques, mat thickness, compaction, and quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret project plans, grade stakes, and layout markings.

Responsibilities

• Operate pavers, rollers, and related paving machinery to achieve smooth, durable asphalt surfaces.
• Read and interpret project plans, grades, and layout markings accurately.
• Monitor asphalt placement, mat thickness, and compaction to maintain quality.
• Coordinate with crew members to optimize production flow.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
