Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Paving Operator for our Asphalt division in the United States. The successful candidate will safely operate paving equipment to place, level, and finish pavement according to project specs, while monitoring mat thickness, asphalt flow and compaction on highway projects.

We require a high school diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years of hands-on asphalt paving experience, daily travel, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience operating asphalt paving equipment on highway or large-scale projects.
• Daily travel required and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt paving equipment to place, level, and finish pavement per project specs.
• Monitor mat thickness, asphalt flow, and compaction to maintain quality.
• Coordinate with paving crew, rollers, screed operators, and lutemen to optimize production.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
• Adhere to highway safety regulations, traffic control plans, and job site protocols.
• Be reliable, punctual and produce precise, long-lasting pavement.
• Promote a culture of health, safety and environmental responsibility.
