Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Required Work Experience: 3–5 years operating asphalt milling machines.
• Travel Requirements: Daily travel with reliable transportation.
• Expert understanding of milling techniques and pavement requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret project plans, grades, and layouts with precision.
• Maintenance, troubleshooting and minor adjustments on milling equipment.
• Strong coordination with paving crews, dump trucks and site supervisors.
• Adherence to safety standards including traffic control and job-site protocols.
• Team-oriented with good communication; proactive support for the paving crew.

Responsibilities

• Operate milling machines to remove asphalt and concrete surfaces to specified depths and grades
• Monitor machine performance and material flow to ensure smooth milling
• Adjust milling equipment settings to meet project specs and surface requirements
• Coordinate with paving crews, trucks, and equipment operators to maintain workflow
• Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on milling machinery
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues or surface inconsistencies during milling operations
