Job summary

Amrize is hiring an Asphalt Milling Machine Operator in our Asphalt division in the United States. The role involves precisely removing pavement to the required depth and grade, preparing surfaces for repaving.

You will work with paving crews, monitor performance, and maintain equipment to ensure quality and safety on site. Qualified candidates have 3–5 years of milling experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong teamwork and safety awareness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience operating asphalt milling machines in paving.
• Good reading of project plans, grades and layouts.

Responsibilities

• Operate milling machines to remove asphalt and concrete to specified depths and grades.
• Monitor machine performance, material flow, and cutting depth for a smooth surface.
• Adjust equipment settings to meet project specs and surface requirements.
• Coordinate with paving crews and trucks to maintain workflow.
• Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on milling machinery.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues during milling operations.
• Follow safety procedures, traffic control, and project plans.
