Vail Resorts, the Assistant Manager, Ski & Ride School (Competition Services & Administration) position, leads the department and supports the overall operation of the Ski & Ride School to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

You will coordinate race programs, schedules, budgets, payroll support, and staffing, while liaising with coaches, athletes, parents, and resort departments to ensure excellence in program operations.

Formación

• Minimum three years of experience in Ski & Ride School or related role.
• Experience with ski school operations, competition services, race programs, or athlete development programs.
• Supervisory or leadership experience (2+ years).
• US Ski & Snowboard coaching certification preferred.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Ability to work outdoors in winter conditions and flexible schedules.
• Background check required.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and coach staff, schedule, and support supervisors, instructors, competition coaches, and support staff.
• Oversee daily operations of competition services, including race programs, training groups, athlete registration, attendance tracking, and event logistics.
• Coordinate race schedules, training venues, course preparation, equipment needs, and event execution.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance management of departmental staff.
• Manage payroll support, staffing coordination, record keeping, reporting, equipment inventory, and program documentation.
• Resolve guest concerns and complaints using company values and established service recovery practices.
• Maintain safety and assist with departmental budgeting, labor management, and expense control.
• Collaborate with Ski Patrol, Mountain Operations, Marketing, and other resort departments to support programs and initiatives.
